Next week, May 4th–8th, is Teacher Appreciation Week—a special time set aside to celebrate and recognize the incredible dedication, passion, and hard work of our AMAZING Gilliard teachers! Our teachers go above and beyond every single day to inspire, nurture, and empower our students. They make learning come alive, encourage every child to reach their potential, and create a positive, welcoming environment for all. If you’d like to show your appreciation, we’ve provided a list of suggested gift items below to help you honor your child’s teacher in a thoughtful way. Good morning. If you are interested in your child trying out for the cheer team for the 2026-2027 school term, the clinic will begin tomorrow, April 22nd, and will run after school through Monday, April 27th. Clinic sessions are scheduled each day from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. Students participating in the clinic should wear white t-shirts and navy blue shorts each day. Please note that there is a $10 tryout fee, which must be paid before your child can participate in the tryouts. Tryouts will take place on Tuesday, April 28th. Any interested student may pick up a tryout packet from Ms. Huff during the school day. If you have any questions, please call the school and leave a message for Ms. Huff, who will return your call. Tickets will go on sale beginning March 9, 2026. The cost of the tickets are $20. It is very important that you are in close communication with your child's teacher regarding their behavior.
