Semmes Middle School LOTC cadets participated in the 1st annual MCPSS LOTC Program STEM Camp that took place at Blount High School and Bishop State Community College. Over the two-day camp, cadets participated in science experiments, math lessons, forensics and physical fitness activities with all of the LOTC cadets from other schools.

Spring Fling is on May 9th, 2025! We will have the ticket presale on May 8th. The tickets are sold during the presale in $5.00 bundles. This is to cut down wait time in the ticket lines on Friday, May 9th. Students will be able to purchase single tickets on May 9th if they choose. Please see the attached schedule, dress code regulations and spring fling individual game/food item ticket costs.
*Students can bring a change of clothes in their backpacks if they choose to do so. Please plan ahead.

Congratulations to the 7th grade students for their IXL Quiz Challenge win on Friday! This was the last quiz challenge for the year. Way to end it strong!
The 7th grade students have earned an out of uniform day on Monday, May 5th. Students may wear school appropriate tops, jeans or joggers (NO pajamas), and school appropriate shoes (NO crocs or slides).
Any student wearing inappropriate out of uniform will have to call home.


We are beyond thrilled to announce that our Broadcasting Team won two awards at the MCPSS Film Festival this evening! The SMS Broadcasting Team won "Best in Show" and "Best News Cast" amongst the other nominated middle schools in MCPSS. This adds to the outstanding accomplishments of our amazing students for the 2024-2025 school year. So proud to be a BULLDOG!!

The SMS Math Team competed in the 2nd annual Mobile County Public Schools Math Competition on Tuesday. Our mathematicians enjoyed competing against the other students and did a great job encouraging each other on throughout the competition. This is SMS’s first year in the competition and we look forward to seeing what these mathematicians can do in the future. Go Bulldogs!!

Semmes Middle School participated in the Special Olympics today at Davidson High School. They had the best send off with the cheerleaders! So proud of our athletes!!











The Semmes Middle School Track Team had a wonderful 2024-2025 season! We are so proud of the coaches and athletes!


Our NJHS students worked so hard today helping with field day at Wilmer Elementary! We are SO proud of them!!

Walk of Champions 2025
The Baseball and Volleyball teams earned the title of Large Area Champions this year! We are so proud of the players and coaches!











Congratulations to the Semmes Middle School Baseball Team for winning the Large Area Division! They are finishing their season as CHAMPIONS with an 11-0 area record. We are so proud of all the boys and coaches for this accomplishment! Go Bulldogs!


Semmes Middle School LOTC Cadets Team 1 earned 2nd place during the Orienteering Competition that look place at Camp Scoutshire Woods, Thursday April 10th. Great job Bulldogs!





Today, the Semmes Middle School baseball team will showcase their hard work in the large area division final game at GrandBay Middle School. The game will begin at 4:00. Come out and cheer on these players to bring home the WIN and title! This is what they have worked towards all season. LET'S GO BULLDOGS!!




Semmes PTO is hosting an out of uniform day on Friday, April 18th. Students can bring $1.00 and dress in jeans.
Dress code: jeans with no rips or tears, appropriate tops with sleeves, no crocs or slides.
